John and Tammy Wright have a passion for every aspect of fitness.
Combined we possess over twenty (20) years of experience in various areas of fitness.
We never considered working out as an option, but a necessity. We know the importance
of maintaining our temple (body) so we make changes in our lives to take care of
it. We are firm believers that a healthy lifestyle, including good nutrition and
daily exercise creates a sense of well being that enhances performance in one's
job, as well as every aspect of life.

In June 2004, our trade name was established in Washington D.C.
and the State of Maryland. In May 2006, Anointed Body of Christ (ABC) Fitness Center
& Day Spa was formed as a Limited Liability Company. We wanted the chance to share
the importance of fighting the diseases and illnesses connected with obesity. ABC
Wellness & Fitness Center places emphasis on the total health and fitness of the
mind, body, and spirit. In June 2009, ABC Wellness and Fitness Center became a subsidiary
of ABC Fitness Center and Day Spa, L.L.C.

John has trained and competed as a body builder for 7 years and
possesses 3 years of experience as a dietician in the U.S. Army Reserves. He is
a retired veteran with over 21 years of good and faithful service in the military.
During his tenure in the military he was Master Fitness Qualified and scored over
290 out of 300 points on the Army Physical Fitness Test.

John is our Master Personal Trainer and he has demonstrated his
knowledge of exercise science, nutrition, fitness assessments, exercise programming,
and instructional techniques since the beginning of our business. He is certified
as a Sport Safety Trainer with Adult and Child Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
/ Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Tammy completed her undergraduate degree in Business Management
at Virginia State University in May 1996. Thereafter, she completed her Master of
Science in Information Resource Management at the University of Maryland University
College in Adelphi,Maryland in December 2001. She is Adult and Child Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) certified. Tammy’s experience of 17 years and more of faithful
and good service in the military is an advantage.

JAMEL CLARK
Personal Trainer
Coaching/teaching others is a passion of mine that I can express through personal
training. My goal for every athlete/personal training client is for them to get
a better understanding of their body, how their body operates under multiple nutritional
circumstances, their body's reaction to various exercises, and program design so
that he/she can live a healthier, more productive, pain-free life.

I have competed in several local bodybuilding competitions earning
rankings between 1st through 3rd place. I have learned a lot about fitness
and nutrition and how to incorporate both in my daily life. I welcome the
opportunity to pass on my knowledge to my trainees so that they too can live healthier
and fitter lives.

SHELIA SMITH
Kukuwa Dance Workout (KDW) Instructor
I teach Kukuwa Dance Workout (KDW) at ABC fitness. I became a KDW licensed instructor
in September 2009. I earned my Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion
from California University of Pennsylvania in December 2006. I am currently working
on earning my certification as a Life Coach through the National Institute of Whole
Health. My passion for fitness comes from a military background, which is where

I began to incorporate weight training and healthy eating into
my weekly training regimen. Since then I have been dedicated to changing the lives
of those around me through personal training, nutrition consulting, and aerobic
conditioning.
